Privacy Policy
Short version
Baggage Calc does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no logins, no cookies for tracking, and no analytics. Your packing list is saved in your own browser and never leaves your device.
What we store
Baggage Calc uses your browser's localStorage to remember your packing list, selected airline, baggage type (hand or checked), and theme preference (light or dark). This data is stored on your device only. We have no access to it, and it is never sent to any server.
Clearing your browser data, switching browsers, or using private browsing will remove this information.
What we don't do
- We don't use tracking cookies or fingerprinting.
- We don't run analytics scripts (Google Analytics, Plausible, etc.).
- We don't have user accounts or sign-up forms.
- We don't share, sell, or rent any data — we don't have any to share.
- We don't show third-party advertising.
Third-party resources
The site loads the Inter and Geist typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font from Google Fonts may expose your IP address to Google. If you'd rather avoid this, most browsers and content blockers can disable third-party fonts.
We don't load any other third-party scripts, pixels, or trackers.
Hosting
Baggage Calc is served as a static website. Like any web host, our hosting provider may keep short-lived server logs that record IP addresses and request paths for security and infrastructure purposes. These logs are not used to track or identify individual users.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. Because we don't collect any personal data, nothing changes if a minor uses the calculator — but parents who want to control site access should rely on their device's parental controls.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works in a way that affects privacy, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be obvious from the page itself (for example, if we ever added analytics, this policy would say so).
